The American Hellenic Institute would like to bring to your attention a letter and H.Res. 953 that was initiated in the House of Representatives thanking the Republic of Cyprus for its role in evacuating U.S. citizens and others leaving Cyprus. Congressman Michael Bilirakis (R-FL) initiated a letter with 60 signatures in the House of Representatives addressed to President Tassos Papadopoulos thanking Cyprus’s role in assisting the evacuation of U.S. citizens and others leaving Lebanon.
H.Res. 953 was introduced on July 26, 2006 with 30 original cosponsors thanking Cyprus’s role in evacuating U.S. citizens and others leaving Lebanon.
Please be advised that the letter will be circulating in the House of Representatives through this Friday, July 28, to gather signatures before being sent to President Tassos Papadopoulos.
